This information has been prepared to help you spread the word, support the project in The Gambia and at the same time, position your group/organization to receive economic empowerment for your community-based projects. Simply forward this information to your members and contacts as their invite to support humanity.
It is no secret that people, in developing countries, are continually suffering and are in need of help. Many of us, in the developed world, want to provide that help and promise to do so, but we also have our own challenges to contend with. In light of this, the idea of supporting a charitable cause becomes less of a priority. However, the irony is that rather than committing funds to a worthy cause, the acquisition of the latest iPod, Xbox, flat screen television or cell phone often takes precedence.
The Healing Of Africa Limited has launched, The Dual Community Empowerment Initiative to ensure that economic empowerment goes to both those in developing and developed countries. The objectives of this Initiative are as follows:
1. To build a school, a hospital, and 500 new homes in The Gambia
2. To provide employment for the local people living in The Gambia, who will help to construct the school, hospital and 500 homes
3. To generate the start up capital, via the sale and purchase of The Millennium Monument Prints

4. To ensure that the complete set of the 3, high-quality, full-color, lithographic prints are affordable to the general public. To do so, they have been reduced in price to only $20 or £10. Those who purchase the prints will effectively become members of this initiative
5. To designate a percentage of revenue, generated from the global, merchandise marketing campaign for The Healing Of Africa Monument Project, to complete the school, hospital and the 500 homes
6. To designate a percentage of revenue, generated from the same global, merchandise marketing campaign, to community groups/organizations that have purchased prints to support their communities. Additional film documentaries will chronicle how the revenue is used by the members/organizations to support other humanitarian and philanthropic endeavours (i.e. establish community programs for the young and old, help eradicate gun crime, alleviate domestic violence, provide scholarships for students, provide food and clothing for the homeless, support mentoring and role model programs, create rehabilitation programs for those suffering with drug and alcohol addiction and the arts etc.).
7. To provide two incentives for members/organizations to invite others to support this initiative
8. To select up to 200 members, as Ambassadors for this project, to attend celebrity press conferences and seminars in The Gambia, England and New York
The Healing Of Africa Monument Project
The Healing Of Africa Monument Project has prepared the way for this Initiative. This monument will honor the millions of Africans who suffered during the Transatlantic Slave Trade, promote peace, healing and forgiveness, inspire hope for the future, and provide economic empowerment for the developing world. Unlike any other monument to people of African ancestry, The Healing Of Africa Monument is destined to be taller than The Statue Of Liberty and will probably be the most historic and monumental tribute of our time. Visit www.thehealingofafrica.com for more information. The merchandise, associated with this project will be promoted and sold worldwide via celebrity endorsed television commercials, infomercials, magazines, tours, radio, etc. This will generate revenue to fund humanitarian projects in developing countries and provide CEA (Community Empowerment Awards) to support projects within our local communities.
CEA (Community Empowerment Awards)
CEA, of £250, are for those groups/organizations that have invited there members and others to purchase the prints and thereby support the projects in the Gambia as well as their own organization’s community-based project. In order to ensure that both The Gambia and a selection of UK and US community projects receive funding, a percentage of the revenue from the global marketing merchandise campaign will go towards completing the school, hospital and 500 homes in The Gambia. The designated revenue for the UK and US community projects is £25,000,000 (Twenty five million pounds). Each group/organization twill determine how much of the £25,000,000 they will receive to empower their community project, based on the amount of prints purchased via their members/supporters.
The Breakdown
The £25,000,000 will be divided into 20,000 CEA. Each CEA is £250 and will be awarded five times. For example, if an individual, who is a member of a church, decides to purchase a set of The Millennium Monument prints, they can put the name of their youth group on the registration form. Let us assume that the youth group are developing a performing arts department. With every member/supporter of that church that decides to support the project in The Gambia, by purchasing their own set of prints, a CEA of £250 will be designated to support that youth group. To complete this example, let us further assume that 100 members of the said church each purchased a set of prints. £250 would be designated to the youth group per the 100 members. 100 x £250 is £25,000. This amount would be awarded to the youth group on five separate occasions in celebration of reaching the 40,000, 80,000, 120,000, 160,000 and 200,000 global merchandise sales targets. That would be a total of £125,000 that would go towards supporting the youth group.
Based on this example, this opportunity would only be made available to the first 200 organizations in the US/UK. However, it is very likely that certain groups/organizations may have 150, 200 or more members that may purchase prints and be positioned to receive a greater portion of the designated funding. Many of those members may even decide to take advantage of the £10 price for all three prints and purchase two, three or more sets as gifts for friends before the price returns to £30.
This is where many groups/organizations will take positive advantage of this opportunity. As mentioned in the above example, groups/organizations with 100 members, each purchasing a set of prints, will be positioned to receive a total of £125,000 to support their community-based project. However, if those 100 members each purchased extra sets of prints as gifts for friends, additional CEA would be designated to their organization for each additional set of prints. To better clarify this, let us assume the 100 members of a church each purchased a set of prints for themselves but then they each purchased an additional set of prints for a friend. That would be 100 additional sets purchased through that church. Therefore an additional 100 CEA would be designated to that church. That is a total of 200 sets of prints. Therefore 200 CEA of £250 (£50,000) would be designated for that particular church. This amount would be awarded on five separate occasions in celebration of reaching the 40,000, 80,000, 120,000, 160,000 and 200,000 global merchandise sales targets. That would be a total of £250,000.
As you can imagine, the numbers will vary with each participating group/organization. 100 members is just an example. Each group/organization will determine the amount of funding that will be designated to them based on how many of their members support the project in The Gambia by purchasing one or more sets of prints.
CEA can go towards supporting a humanitarian and/or philanthropic endeavour (i.e. establish community programs for young and old, help eradicate gun crime, alleviate domestic violence, provide scholarships for students, provide food and clothing for the homeless, support mentoring and role model programs, create rehabilitation programs for those suffering with drug and alcohol addiction, supporting the arts, etc).
